Shocks and shaft

Shocks and shaft

Postby PIPPY » Mon Aug 31, 2009 5:04 pm

Hi

I'm a newbie on here so please be gentle with me.

I am about halfway through the chasis on my Piranha Buggie.

I have a 750 GSX as a doner and most of the parts I need are on order.

I am having problems with a few bits though. :?

Firstly the rear shocks - can anyone give me some suppliers or alternative ideas for them. I have looked at Fox and they seem very expensive and are the one thing that will blow my very tight budget.

I am using the standard self build plans so I am going to be using the standard PTO shaft arrangement for as the drive train. :o

As a result the onlyother part that seems to be giving me problems is the 1 3/8 6 spline bar. The agricultural parts people seem to be only able to get this in short lengths.......Again any suppliers would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Pippy

"Forge services have the shafts in different lengths availiable to order online this is one 350mm long
http://www.forge-services.co.uk/site4/c ... PR=-1&TB=A
Think its the one i used they also have the shorter bits do a search for "1 3/8 shaft " I also got the coupler to make the sprocket and brake addaptor from them"
