Hi Everyone, Can anyone help me please? Does anyone know why my CBR 900 has resistors in the spark plug leads?
Does it need them or can I remove them? Apparently the plugs also have a resistor as well.
Tried it without Resistor, Looks like a better spark.
Got a problem with fouling plugs. Drive for about 15 minutes then it starts to cough & splutter.
Plugs are left all black & sooty.

Most of the time resistors in the plug leads are simply to stop TV/Radio interferance.
Take out the resistors, should not be a problem.

Yeah,Thanks for that Tony.
Had a mate from work come round to check it out, He said the same.
He races formular 500's.
I also lowered the carby slide needle one notch, see how that goes.
Might try Iridium plugs as well. Seen them on Ebay.

After dropping the needle one notch, it still foul plugs you may want to go one number up on the plug heat range.
